Pedro Ramos

Physician-entrepreneur, CEO of Promptly Health, a Real-World Data Analytics company, and affiliated researcher at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. Currently, he sits on the Advisory Board of the 1st Large Scale Pilot of the European Health Data Space and the WHO/Europe Strategic Partners’ Initiative for Data and Digital Health. Pedro graduated in Medicine from FMUP/UP, holds a double degree (Master’s) in Health Economics from FEP/UP, and earned a Ph.D. in Medicine from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. He also completed executive education at Harvard Business School. His previous professional experience includes roles in Clinical Management at various healthcare organizations (WHO, HCFMUSP, Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein), where he was primarily involved in renovating hospital data infrastructure to support various business use cases (clinical efficiency with medical departments, starting new revenue lines, engagement with the government, and negotiation with payers).
