Hugo Rodrigues

Hugo Rodrigues completed his degree in Medicine at the Nova Medical School in 2005. He holds a competence in Military Medicine and is a consultant in Vascular Surgery. He is the Chief of Vascular Surgery at HFAR (Hospital das Forças Armadas), with experience in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. He has a special interest in civil society organization models that enhance medical practice, ensure fair compensation, and promote the active role of professionals in the strategy and management of health units. He also holds an executive master’s degree in health services management from ISCTE and is currently working on his master’s thesis on medical cooperatives as an alternative model for managing private health services.
