Helena Morais Bonzinho

Director of the Cohesion and Social Development department at Cascais City Council

Born in Alvalade, Lisbon, in 1969 and lives in Parede, Cascais. She has a degree and master’s degree in Anthropology from ISCTE.IUL. In 2017, she completed the teaching component of the doctoral program in Anthropology, also at ISCTE. She began her career in a research project related to the prevention of forest fires in the interior of Portugal. She has worked in the Municipality of Cascais since 1996 where she worked as a senior technician in the areas of relocation, community intervention, integration of immigrants and intercultural mediation, and the Cascais Social Network. She was division chief of Childhood Promotion and Active Aging. She is currently director of the Social Cohesion and Development department.
