Elena Córdoba Azcárte

Elena Córdoba Azcárate is a Spanish lawyer with a vast specialization in public affairs, European regulation and international relations. She works as Director of International Affairs at Unión Profesional ** and holds a Degree in Law from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Degree in Business Administration and Management from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, with part of her studies developed at the City University of London. Her extensive experience in the state association that brings together the Spanish liberal professions has allowed her to deal with a diversity of policies and regulations, both European and national, that have a significant impact on civil society and the subsector of the liberal professions from different fields (law, health, engineering, architecture, social, scientific, economic…). The experience gained throughout her professional life has helped her to specialise in policy for the recognition of professional qualifications at EU level and she was selected in 2020 by the European Commission as one of the 19 experts that make up the European Fit For Future Platform, responsible for reviewing and evaluating EU legislation. She has recently been rapporteur for an opinion on professional mobility on this very same Platform.
