Public Health Doctor

Bernardo Luís Mateiro Gomes completed his Integrated Master’s Degree at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in 2009 with active participation in associative life during the course. He completes Specific Training in Public Health, having postgraduate degrees in Occupational Medicine and Travel Medicine. The curriculum includes courses in the area of epidemiology of communicable diseases and statistics, as well as publications in the area of public health. He works at the Group of Health Centers Between Douro and Vouga I and at the Public Health Department of the Northern Regional Health Administration. He currently works in the area of prison tuberculosis. He is a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and a regular speaker in the areas of field epidemiology, epidemiology of communicable diseases and planning. Associate Editor of Acta Médica. He writes regularly on the social network Twitter about health topics, publishing frequently in digital magazines and national newspapers, particularly in collaboration with professionals from other areas. He has taken on consultancies in the Covid-19 area and is a regular contributor to Global Media in the Covid-19 area.
