What does thinking man do when he holds in his hand the destinies of flora and fauna and of all the nature that surrounds him? And how can health literacy positively influence human-induced changes to the environment? The concept of One Health can be operationalized in an articulated, harmonious, constructive way to reinforce a healthier world for all.
For its part, health literacy has been shown to save lives, and even more than human lives. The health of animals and the rest of the environment in which we live, including nature, are also influenced by how we access, understand, evaluate, and use health resources.
Greater health literacy of human beings contributes to better health outcomes for themselves and the planet.
Health literacy saves lives.
