Degree in Medicine and General Surgery, specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health, MBA from the University of a Coruña, master’s degree in health technology Assessment from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Diploma in Senior Hospital Management, Diploma in Health Planning. A professional manager by vocation, I have spent my entire professional career at the Galician Health Service. I have been Deputy Medical Director of the University Hospital of a Coruña, Medical Director of the Hospital da Costa (Lugo), of the Complexo Hospitalario Xeral Calde and the Hospital Universitario Lucus Augusti, Director of Healthcare of the Complexo Hospitalario Universitario de Santiago and Manager of the Health Area of Vigo. I have also been General Director of Health Care at SERGAS. I am currently the Manager of the Sanitary Area of Ourense, Verín and O Barco de Valdeorras. My areas of interest within healthcare management focus on care planning and organization, integrated healthcare, value-based healthcare, and digital transformation in healthcare organizations. From a more executive point of view, my interests are focused on the start-up of new hospitals, the management of waiting lists, interlevel integration, the management of ageing and humanization. My teaching activity is currently focused on the collaboration with DBS Health, with whom I have been collaborating for years, both in the master’s degree and in the executive training.
